City of Oulu

Oulu [ˈowlu] is a lively and youthful city of 200,000+ inhabitants. It is the most populous city in Northern Finland and the fifth most populous city in the country.

Unique Oulu

Located only about 100 miles (170 kilometres) from the Arctic Circle, the nature in the Oulu region is unique. Close by are the southernmost fell highland region of Finland and rare nature reserves shaped by the Ice Age. The sea is ever present, and its frozen vastness during the winter months is breathtaking.
